Abstract


READINESS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS' TOWARDS E-LEARNING

The purpose of this study is to determine the readiness of vocational school students' towards e-learning and to reveal whether there is a significant difference according to the variables of department, class, gender, e-learning experience, presence of home internet, computer presence, and parents' education status. The scanning model, one of the quantitative research types, was used in the study. Sample of the study consists of 260 students studying at a vocational school of a university in the Mediterranean Region in the 2020-2021 academic year. Data of the study were obtained using the "Readiness Scale of University Students for E-learning" developed by Yurdugül and Demir (2017). In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum, as well as independent groups t-test, One Way Anova and schefee test were used. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the readiness of vocational school students towards e-learning is high. In readiness of towards e-learning a significant difference was found in favor technical department according to the social department, in favor those who have previous e-learning experience according to the those who don’t have previous e-learning experience, in favor those who have the internet at home according to them who don’t have the internet at home, in favor mothers of those according to the whose mothers are high school graduates compared to illiterate variables. There was no significant difference according to the variables of class, gender and educational status of the father.
