The economic activity of small and medium-sized enterprises also helps to solve the social problems of society and has a positive effect on the development of the regional economy as well as small businesses, create new jobs, create employment and competitive environment in the country. The role of small businesses does not end with the production of cheap products and an increase in income. Entrepreneurship is a guide and a unique initiation mechanism for structural change in the economy and society. This change acts as a catalyst for economic growth and affects the growth of aggregate output. The main purpose of the study is to statistically analyze and evaluate the formation, current situation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the market economy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
