The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the bibliotherapy method on depression. Mehmet Oyal Special Education Training School, Halıcıoğlu Hearing Impairment School and other special education and rehabilitation centers located in the province of Beyoğlu in Istanbul and the control group of 60 depressed mothers and 60 depressed mothers were trained. Demographic information form of participant, CES Depression Scale 5 different book reading applications (bibliotherapy) were applied. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package of Social Sciences) 22.0 statistical program and paired repeated measures t-test was used in the analysis of the data. According to the results obtained, bibliotherapy is significantly effective in individuals who have been diagnosed with depression.
