The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics, volunteer motivation and altruism levels of students. From the semi-structured socio-demographic form prepared by the researcher in the study; (Volunteer Motivation Inventory) developed by Esmond and Dunlop (2004) and the Alturism Inventory developed by London and Bower (1968) to measure the effect of voluntary motivations on altruism for what motivates the students. The sample of the research is composed of 110 students who are studying at Yalova University Department of Social Work and who are members of any voluntary organization. Because there is no registration system in voluntary organizations or universities related to the number or work of volunteer students, accurate information about the universe has not been reached. According to the research results, there is a meaningful relationship between volunteer motivation and altruism levels of students.
