Abstract

SOCIAL GENDER-BASED DIVISION AND WOMEN LABOR FORMS IN THE KAHRAMANMARAŞ URBAN LABOR MARKET

Division in local labor markets is explained by various theories such as primary secondary markets, internal external markets or comparative segmentation. It focuses on gender-based segmentation from these different partitioning approaches developed in different periods. Gender-based division focuses on the secondarization and marginalization of women's labor in labor markets. In this study, the basis of gender-based division in the urban labor markets of Kahramanmaraş is explained within the framework of the transfer of gender roles in rural areas to urban areas.
