Health institutions are indispensable for human life. The most important thing is emergency medical services for human life, 24 hours a day in case of any emergency illness or injury. When faced with some unwanted situations about health, life is saved by fast and correct intervention and the loss that may occur is reduced to the minimum. The process of establishing emergency medical system in the world and Turkey along with having a very short history of the organization of emergency medical services at the national level varies according to country. The aim of this study reveal the importance of pre-hospital emergency medical services, to provide information about the current system in Turkey and with the help of pre-hospital data to assess the status of emergency medical services. As a result of the work, continuous improvement in pre-hospital emergency medical services has been noticed especially since 2011. The number of ambulances has been increased and diversified by land, air and sea; the population per emergency aid station and the population per ambulance have declined compared to the years and positive developments are seen.
