Tourism activities, which are an important factor in the development of the region, are also evaluated with various touristic factors. Recently, every region wants to come to the forefront with its unique kitchen items and the desire to promote its local products makes gastronomy tourism remarkable in these tourism activities. In addition, the geographical sign concept gained importance as it wanted to introduce the regions' gastronomic elements. If a region wants its local product to be widely known, it also paves the way for the geographic signs of the products belonging to the region. Therefore, the aim of the research is to determine the gastronomic items of Konya, to explain the basics and to contribute to the tourism of geographical area products. The importance of the gastronomic products which have geographical signs when Konya becomes famous in regional tourism is emphasized.
