Abstract

Flowers, which are among the important metaphorical statement of Divan poetry, appear in many poems as an element that enlivened the poem with different metaphors and expressions. Flowers have become the symbol of any emotion or situation with their color, smell or shape features. It is seen that the flowers used in poems and poems are used in the context of human organs, individuals, things and natural elements. Flowers have been used as an element of analogy, in the context of the art of exhilarating, to glorify the analogy and to show its beauty at the highest level. The idea of the fact that the elements such as cheeks, eyes, mouths and hairs of the lover are compared to the most delicate and natural creature in nature is fixed in that it is inaccessible in terms of beauty and the absence of the like. Rose, which is one of the leading ones of these flowers, is a translator to all the beautiful features of the lover. The height of the rose and the height of the lover, the color and color of the rose, the face and cheeks of the rose, the love of the lover with the delicate structure of the rose, the love-making of the lover with the rose-i ra'a and the face of the lover, the love of the lover in the spring with the opening of the rose in the spring season, with the raw grain on the rose The relationship between the earring in the ear of the lover, the thorn of the rose and the rival, the fold of the rose's layers and the ear draws attention as important aesthetic aspects of the rose. Apart from the rose, another flower used as a metaphorical statement is a tulip. Tulip is a flower that draws attention in terms of shape and is used as an analogy. The tulip, which is likened to the bloody or injured heart of the lover due to its red color and the blackness of the interior, evokes a glass filled with the fruit sometimes offered by the lover. In many poems, flowers, which are mostly dealt with on the theme of beauty, are sometimes used to express a different feeling, such as pain, grief and sadness more clearly. The section titled Sıfat-ı Hazan, which is mentioned in Gülperi Hanım's Güldeste-i Hatırat, is remarkable in terms of handling flowers together with sadness. The flowers, which are mostly used as an element of recommending the beauty of the lover, are used in this section to describe the great sadness of the death of a loved and respected person. Gülperi, a Circassian-born concubine who lived in the palace of Cairo, grew up in the palace of Hosyar, the wife of the Egyptian governor Ibrahim Pasha.

Later, he went to the palace of Hıdiv İsmail Pasha and was protected by Çeşm-i Afet Hanım, the wife of Hıdiv İsmail Pasha. In this study, the flowers of sadness, which are processed by Gülperî Hanım's work named Güldeste-i Hatırat, will be emphasized.
