Kadınların İşgücüne Katılımını Etkileyen Faktörler Ve Sosyal Sürdürülebilirlik: Sahra Altı Afrika Ülkeleri Örneği

Kadınların işgücüne katılımını etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesine yönelik çalışmaların son dönemlerde yoğunluk kazandığı görülmektedir. Ancak literatürde kadınların işgücüne katılımını toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği bağlamında sosyal sürdürülebilirlik ilişkisini değerlendiren çalışmaların az sayıda olduğu görülmektedir.
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Sahra altı Afrika ülkelerinde kadınların işgücüne katılımını etkileyen faktörlerin neler olduğu, belirlenen faktörlerin kadınların işgücüne katılımını ne yönde etkilediği ve bu faktörlerin sosyal sürdürülebilirlik ilişki düzeyini araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla oluşturulan araştırma modeli, 2002-2019 yılları arasında Dünya Bankasından verilerine ulaşılan 25 Sahra Altı Afrika ülkesi için Panel Veri analizi ile test etmektedir.
Çalışma bulgularına göre kişi başına düşen gelir, hukukun üstünlüğü, tasarruf oranı ve nüfus artış oranının kadınların işgücüne katılımlarını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönde etkilediği sonuçları elde edilmiştir.
