Aim: This study aimed to analyze to effects of the change of function on a public sphere and to make investigations on Osmaniye Rahime Hatun Square. Method: The changing conditions and environment of the 21st century have brought new needs to the agenda. This has brought about changes in function in buildings or public spaces. Results: Structures or public spaces where a function completely independent of the previous function was loaded; Since they remain with the old function in the memory of the people are starting to wear out. In this context, the area where Rahime Hatun Square was examined as an example was a part of the peanut market where most of the trade was done for Osmaniye city. In 2009, with the extraordinary decision of the Municipality, it was decided to demolish the workplaces on the two axes of the peanut market which consists of four rows of axles and expropriated. Conclusion: The effects of this function change on the field will be examined in the study
