Gagauz, who could not have written language until the beginning of the twentieth century, own a notably rich oral literature,
as in many Turkish communities. Gagauz people have managed to keep their national identities and assets alive until today, by
the help of Gagauz Turkish, which lives with verbal products. Gagauz intellectuals, who tried to build a written language from
the beginning of the twentieth century and regarded this as a necessity to protect their existence, carried out studies to be praised
in this way. Nikolay Baboglu, one of these pioneering intellectuals, has revealed the value of language and culture in social life
with his works, and he explained how Turkish language originated from its deep roots to now, through simple, sincere sayings
and created an individual and social identity.
In the present study, we conducted a thorough document review, with a view of language and culture from N. Babaoğlu's pen;
we tried to emphasize the importance and value of cultural people.
