Abstract

Aim: Aim of this study was to measure the mutual happiness levels of health management department students. Method: In this study, which is a quantitative investigation, a goal-oriented sampling method is used. The population of the study comprises Health Management students at Selçuk University (n = 600). ‘Scale of Mutual Happiness Level Determination’ developed by Ekşi and friends were used in the study. The scale was sent to all health management students online way and asked to return within a week. In the study, 313 students returned from the 82.4% of the participants were female students. Cronbach’s alpha value was 0.835 for the whole scale. When the level of participation in the statements of mutual happiness scale considered, the highest level of participation (93%) is the statement that “I provide happiness to the people I value”; the highest statement level of participation with the highest instability (approximately 28%) is that ‘I don’t have a big worry or concern.’ Conclusion: As statistical, there was a significant positive correlation between mutual happiness scale (p<0.01). The highest relationship among statements is that ‘I believe in myself, and those around me are happy.’ and ‘I believe I’m as happy as the surrounding people.’ (p<0.01). As a result, it appears that the students participating in the survey have concerns and anxieties. There are many reasons underlying this statement. The lowest of the statements that the participating students did not agree with definitely is the statement that ‘I feel positively tested by those around me.’
