In this study focuses on the relationship between learning and cognition. For this reason, firstly, cognitive learning theory is tried to be explained briefly. The aim of this study is to give information about cognitive learning processes, cognition - executive cognition, and guiding strategies of cognition and to explain the topics to be considered in the adaptation of executive cognition strategies to the learning environment. Qualitative pattern was preferred in this study. The method used is the scanning of literature. In this study, the field of cognitive learning processes, cognition – executive cognition and the adaptation of cognition-executive strategies to the learning environment were examined and related sections were compiled.. Although it is argued that there are different methods and techniques to be followed for the executive cognition process, the processes used in general are very close to each other as content. The key point is to use executive cognitive strategies to solve the problem. According to this, firstly students should identify problems. After that, the solution process of the problem should be followed and the students should be able to explain their thoughts about the problem. At the end of the process, the students should be able to evaluate the problem according to the solvability of the problem. Similarly, the solution should be used to solve other similar problems
