EXAMINATION OF GRADUATE STUDIES ON CHARACTER EDUCATION: A CONTENT ANALYSIS STUDY

This study is a content analysis study aimed at examining the theses on character education in Turkey between the years 2007-2021 and determining their general tendencies. The theses, which are the data source of this study, in which the qualitative research method was used, were searched on the keyword "character education" from the Higher Education Council (YÖK) National Thesis Center site, and 55 thesis studies covering the years 2007-2021 were searched. These researches were evaluated in terms of the year the theses were published, the type of the theses, the university they were written in, the method of the research, the type of school and the number of samples through document analysis. Results obtained from the study: When the distribution of the theses on character education by years was examined, it was determined that the most thesis was published in 2019, while the least thesis was published in 2014 and 2015. Most of the research has been done at the graduate level. According to the results obtained in the study, the most quantitative and qualitative methods were used. Most of the studies used less than 100 samples.
