THE EFFECT OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING TO 7TH GRADE STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE TOWARDS SCIENCE

The purpose of this study is to search whether there is a significant effect of project based learning approach on seventh grade students’ attitudes towards science.
In the study, according to the characteristics of quantitative research methods, pretest-posttest control group quasi-experimental design was used to test the effect of project-based learning and traditional methods on seventh grade students’ attitudes towards science. 38 students participated in this study.
During the research, after calculating the mean and standard deviation descriptively, in order to analyze the data obtained from attitude scale, independent samples t-test was performed. In statistical analyses, SPSS-20 package program was used. In order to interpret the analysis of data .05 significance level was accepted.
As a result, based on the results, there is a significant difference between experimental and control groups' scores in the favor of experiment group. Discussions based on literature were occurred and suggestions were performed
