Abstract

The Konak (Izmir) city, which dates back thousands of years, has been home to many civilizations throughout history. During the period of historical development, much imagery has been added within the city that has the characteristics of various civilizations. In the scope of this study, the past 5000 years of Konak (Izmir) city has been examined with historical method; and the formation processes of 21 place and building that are integrated with the identity of the city were revealed
