The aim of this study is to evaluate the mediating role of self-efficacy perceptions on the effects of trait emotional intelligence on entrepreneurial intentions. The data of the study was obtained by applying a questionnaire to 238 participants who were students of the Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Erzurum Atatürk University. The model which was created to examine the relationships between variables was tested with structural equation model. The results of the analysis showed that the self-efficacy perceptions of the emotional intelligence characteristics of the participants on the entrepreneurship intentions had a fully mediated role. In the study, the effect of emotional intelligence on the emergence of entrepreneurial intention and the role of self-efficacy in this relationship are emphasized and the results obtained are discussed in the relevant literature
