EXAMINATION OF THE NUMBER OF COACHES THAT THE TEAMS HAVE SIGNED A CONTRACT IN RECENT YEARS IN TURKISH PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUES

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the number of football coaches in the professional football leagues of Turkey, to determine the number of football coaches in recent years and to reference the different studies to be carried out in this field. Research data were obtained from the annual reports of the Turkish football federation (TFF) for the seasons 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. When examined in the last 3 seasons, 18 teams in the Spor Toto Super League each season, 41 football coaches (including foreign nationals) signed a professional team technical responsible contract and 2,27 football coaches per team were found to be. According to the last annual report of the 2017-2018 season, the number of football coaches was 26,492 and the number of female football coaches in the last annual report was 240. In this total number, 547 coaches have a Uefa Pro license, while 1,993 coaches have a Uefa A license. In addition, 3.713 coaches have a Uefa B license and 11.848 coaches have a TFF Grassroots C license
