Division in local labor markets is explained by various theories such as primary secondary markets, internal external markets or comparative segmentation. It focuses on gender-based segmentation from these different partitioning approaches developed in different periods. Gender-based division focuses on the secondarization and marginalization of women's labor in labor markets.
In this study, the basis of gender-based division in the urban labor markets of Kahramanmaraş is explained within the framework of the transfer of gender roles in rural areas to urban areas
