Abstract

Aim of the Study: It was aimed to measure the level of knowledge about patient rights of patients who applied to a public hospital in the province of Konya.
Materials and Methods: Quantitative research design and easy sampling method were used in the research. The Cronbach alpine value of the survey was 0.752.
Findings: 98.3% of the patients participating in the study stated that the health personnel should be informed about the patient rights and 88.3% stated that the patients should be granted their consent and consent before any medical intervention. 98.3% of the patients reported that it is necessary for health personnel to receive training on patient rights.
Discussion and Conclusion: It has been found out that the majority of patients (90%) do not read the patient rights directive and even 78.3% are not aware of the regulation. Within these results, media, civil society organizations and the state should cooperate in order to raise the awareness of patients about rights. Patients who apply to hospitals should be informed about the rights of the patients by the institution personnel and the patient relations unit should be made more active
