Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyse what kind of ethical approach is adopted by the land ethics. In this respect, land ethics approach has been investigated by employing the work of Aldo Leopold, who developed the concept. In the study, land ethics has been analyzed in terms of morality, right, benefit, value, hierarchy, and other respects and its characteristics has been determined. The land ethics of Aldo Leopold puts forward a view point which helps to integrate environmental ethics approaches. The land ethics of Aldo Leopold which challenges capitalism by its doctrines. In this respect, Leopold’s ethics has to be considered and investigated as one of the first assertions of ecocentric approach
