Abstract

With technological progress and globalization, society's actions have changed, and it has become significant to use 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI), which stands out as one of the modern technologies. Artificial intelligence has been one of the most rapidly evolving leading technologies, along with human innovation and engineering development, over the last half-century. Artificial intelligence, which came up due to the rapid growth of information technology, has included not only many interdisciplinary subjects but also added new elements to music education, and music education and teaching (MET-AI) based on artificial intelligence techniques has become increasingly comprehensive. The aim of this research, which focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in music education, is to examine the importance and potential of artificial intelligence in music education. In the research, where the document analysis model, one of the qualitative research methods, is used, the usage areas of artificial intelligence in music education are examined, the application of artificial intelligence in music education is systematically summarized, the future of artificial intelligence in music education is discussed by discussing issues such as the role and collaboration of instructors and the success level of students. As a result of this research, the findings are summarized, different aspects of artificial intelligence usage in music education are revealed, and new approaches are presented to improve the music education process and enrich the learning experience.
