DETERMINATION OF COVID-19 FEAR LEVELS OF MEDICAL PERSONNEL

The Covid-19 virus has spread rapidly in our country and around the world and has become an infectious epidemic. This virus causes not only physiological but also psychological effects on human health. The aim of this study is to evaluate the fear of Covid-19 in medical personnel, one of the groups most affected by the Covid-19 virus, and compare it with some variables. 422 medical personnel working at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine Hospital participated in the study. The research is in the form of a survey and participants were asked about the Covid-19 fear scale and some demographic variables. Of the participants, 192 (45.5%) were women and 230 (54.5%) were men. According to the results of the analysis, covid-19 fear scale scores are high and especially women's scores are significantly higher than men's. In addition, the validity and reliability of the scale were found to be appropriate according to the results of explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis and the Cronbach alpha value.
