Abstract

In this study, I intend to analyze my exhibition titled "KEPENEK" which I have been working on for about six and a half months and whose idea and essence I have tried to deepen based on an image from my childhood, using the autoethnography pattern, which has found a place among qualitative research methods in recent years due to the opportunities it offers. The purpose of this article is to express my awareness while transforming it into ceramic forms, beginning with its spiritual-material structure, after I realized that the dominant image of my childhood, which I will never forget and which I engraved in my mind by enriching it with the dream world of that time, is a shepherd's clothing, which is a primitive engineering product. The qualitative autoethnographic design, which is based on the description and methodical analysis of cultural, social, political, or artistic experience, is evident in this work, which may be characterized as the expression of personal experiences. After the research related to the autoethnography pattern was expressed in a chronological structure, the cultural, ethnographic, and formal features of the kepenek form were explained, and the contributions of these features were attempted to be expressed while transforming them into ceramic forms.
