Abstract

Whether teachers who are newly starting their career are being trained in a qualified way during the process of training is a question that raises curiosity. The aim of the study in connection with this problem is to reveal the views of the candidate teachers regarding the process of removal of candidacy. The study has been designed as a case study of qualitative research designs. In the study, easily accessible sampling method from purposive sampling methods was used. The study group consists of 12 teacher candidates working in different schools in the province of Batman in the second semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. The study data were obtained using a semi-structured observation form. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis and content analysis. According to the results of the research, teacher candidates mostly evaluated the evaluation of school headmaster and the supervisor teacher as insufficient, even if they consider it partially adequate. They considered the evaluation of the education inspector or educational expert and written and oral examination unnecessary.
