INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE CONNECTION AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

The study aims at indicating whether there is a relation between the unsecure attachment between the child and the family and selfness perception, social anxiety, depressive symptoms seen in 8th grade students. The sample of this research is the students who went to the 8th class in Bakırköy, Beyoğlu, Başakşehir districts of İstanbul province. Personal Information Form, Family Related Related Experience Scale, Self-Perception Profile for Children, Social Anxiety Scale for Children, Depression Scale for Children were used in this study. The data obtained with the data collection scales were entered into the computer environment as numerical expressions and this data was converted to statistical results using statistical package program (SPSS 18) for social sciences. It has been found that there is a positive relation in the Spearman Correlation results applied to see whether there is a relationship between attachment anxiety and social anxiety. As the attachment anxiety increases, social anxiety tends to increase in parallel. There has been found a positive relation in Spearman Correlation applied to analyze the relation between attachment anxiety and depression. When attachment anxiety increases, depression tends to be increasing. There has been found slight reverse relation between attachment anxiety and selfness perception by the Spearman Correlation results in order to measure the relation between these aforementioned two. In cases where attachment anxiety tends to be increasing, educational proficiency, social acceptance, psysical appearance and behavioral control tend to be decreasing.
