CURRENT SITUATION OF TURKEY ON DISTRIBUTION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF INCOME DISTRIBUTION

Abstract

The fact that individuals living in a country can survive in the atmosphere of social peace and well-being necessitates the fair distribution of the blessings acquired as a result of economic activities among individuals. The inequality in the distribution of national income between individuals, regions, sectors and resources not only causes economic problems but also other social problems, leading to an important obstacle in the development process. In this study, the concept of income and income distribution is explained in terms of conceptual, and the concept of income inequality is historically discussed within the framework of economic schools. In addition, the dimensions of income distribution inequality in Turkey were analyzed in the period in which data were available. The study shows that the problem of income inequality in recent years in Turkey is still at high levels compared to the developed economies of the country and that there has been no significant improvement in income distribution justice in recent years.
