Abstract

Leisure time is the time left after the basic needs and the concept helps individuals renew themselves, enables to improve their skills and makes them happy. With the help of organizations and companies who has contributed to these organizations, leisure time has shown improvement with various recreational activities and this improvement has created a market, which has led to the creation of a transnational leisure time economy. Especially sports, which have become a new sector in the market and organizations such as Olympics creating advanced sports tourism, have brought large amount of revenue to the national economy, led to emergence of the concept of the leisure time and created awareness. In time, this awareness has enabled leisure time activities to be run with commercial methods and contributed countries’ economies positively
