A NEW EVOLUTION FOR COOPERATIVES IN TURKEY: ENERGY COOPERATIVES

Abstract

Green economy is a process that different from traditional Brown economy model -based on fossil fuels- by evolution in social equality and reduction of environmental risks and ecelecigal scarcities. By this way this work is based on the cooperatives -contains cooperations and important for social and economic development- especially energy cooperatives. At the present time in several areas like health, education, renewable energy etc. cooperatives became main power. Renewable energy cooperatives successfully applied in the countries like Germany, USA, United Kingdom etc. The communities that organized by renewable energy cooperatives are became successfull from country to metropolis.
In Turkey you can see the effort for raising awareness about renewable energy cooperatives. We can find a solution for producting and supplying energy by “Cooperative Strategy and Action Plan in Turkey”. We can decrase external dependency about energy by participation af local people and increasing energy supply.
