Abstract

Nowadays globalized world, the phenomenon of competition is increasing very rapidly. In this globalized and interdependent world, companies need to use these financial statements that are comprehensible, tailored, reliable and verifiable, comparable, timely, prepared and presented to information users in every country and similar financial reporting language should be used for more transparent financial reporting. This is possible by international accounting and financial reporting standards. The financial statements should not only meet the users of the financial statements who have different expectations in the financial statements, but should not meet the detailed information requirements in the decision-making process. Compliance with these disclosure requirements by companies has also gained importance. Compliance levels of international financial reporting standards footnote requirements of the companies are; the size of the company, the profitability of the company, the company's indebtedness, the company's age etc. The criteria are affected. In our research, 20 production enterprises with the most appropriate activity reports have been selected in the BIST 100 index which is selected from 52 manufacturing enterprises. Since the tangible fixed assets in manufacturing companies are an important item, TMS 16 Tangible Fixed Assets standard has been selected. In our research, the financial statements of the companies in 2016 and 2017 were used. The financial information of the companies has been obtained from the public lighting platform (KAP) and the official website of Borsa İstanbul. As a result, based on the data we have obtained, ile H0: There is a significant relationship between the compliance levels of the companies' IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment and Assurance Standard, which are changed according to years and the variables (asset size, type of auditor, company age). hypothesis. The relationship between the companies' compliance with the requirements of TAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment, compliance with the requirements of disclosure requirements and the relationship between asset size, auditor type and company age has been tried to be explained
