The rapid technological advances in today’s world necessitates that perceptions, life styles and ways to conduct bussiness change altogether. This change is in every walk of life, and it affects first the indivudual and then the organization. It specifies an individual’s vay of life and an organization’s competitive factor because only those who can adapt to this change and manage it can be leaders in their field. As a result of technological advancement, the need arose for qualified staff that are open to change so that organizations can acquire and adapt new technologies. Consequently, leaders are also needed to make this change happen by giving a common goal to the staff, take risks and insipire them as their role model. As a significant support to the organisational change process, information technologies facilitate and support the obtaining, delivery and use of information as one of the main resources of an organisation. This research offers a study of effects of information technology capability on an organisation’s change process and performance, and the effects of transformational leadership on that, through a survey with firms from the Marmara region.
