THE MODELS WHICH APPLIED IN THE INTERNAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT; A STUDY INTENDED FOR TURKEY AND USA’S INTERNAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT APPLICATIONS

Abstract

The September 11 terrorist attack, happened in the USA, has led to the questioning of the concept of security all over the world. Until that day, operations to resist every possible violation within and outside the borders of the country were explained with the concept of national security, yet, as a result of the September 11 terrorist attack, the security phenomenon was divided into internal and external security. The aim of this article is to analyze and benchmark the internal security management models which applied in the borderlines of Turkey and United States of America Countries mentioned in the study are both economically and geostrategically and geopolitically important countries of their geographies. In these countries, which are highly developed in industrial, commercial and technological areas, it is a very difficult task to keep crowded and educated people together in peace and to make them feel that they are financially and morally safe. It is aimed to make literature research and benchmark about how the countries, which mentioned in the study, provide security and public order, which internal security management models they adopt and what kind of organizational structures they use to provide security
