Abstract

Journalism has increased its place and importance in the internet environment over time, depending on the advances in technology. The flow of information has accelerated due to technological advances, and this flow has manifested itself in the news flow. The competition in the field of journalism has been transferred to the internet environment, and efforts have been made to attract the attention of the user with news headlines in order to come to the fore in this competition. For this purpose, it has become important to present the news headline, which is the first news item to appear before the user, on social media platforms, which are widely used on the Internet and have become the main news source of users. Determining the determinant factors in the process of influencing the users of news headlines used on social media platforms is also important in determining the power of the news headline. In this study, the literature review of the field studies conducted to determine the factors affecting the popularity of the news and the news title was conducted. Thus, it is aimed to include guiding information in terms of future studies in this field.
