Abstract

The aim of this research is to demonstrate the opinions of teachers and administrators on the concept of impartiality. In this study, one of the qualitative research designs, phenomenological design was used. The study group of the research consisted of 16 school administrators (principals, deputy principals) and 15 teachers who volunteered to participate in the research and were working in public schools in Denizli city center. Research data was collected through the semi-structured interview form. In the analysis of data, a descriptive analysis and content analysis is used. According to the findings of the research, it is seen that the participants generally handle the concept of impartiality in terms of equality and objectivity, but they did not express an opinion from an ethical and legal standpoint. In other words, participants interpret the concept of impartiality as impartiality in law and in the provision of public services. Therefore, it would be useful to inform teachers and administrators about legal and ethical issues. However, the theme with the highest number of opinions is being neutral in the relations with students
