Abstract

This research is carried out to investigate the relationships between the factors affecting the decisions of the students who receive culinary education and their demographic characteristics. Students of Culinary Program at Selcuk University Beyşehir Ali Akkanat Vocational School are the main samples of the research. Samples are chosen among these students and “easy sampling method” is preferred which is one of the random sampling method. The data obtained from the study is analysed with SPSS 22.0 package program. The hypotheses for the purpose of the study are measured by the Independent Samples T Test and the One-way ANOVA Test. As a result of the tests conducted, it is found that there are significant differences between the demographic characteristics of the students and the factors affecting the university preference. In accordance with these findings, it is concluded that demographic characteristics are partially effective when students make their university preferences.
