Abstract

Psychological capital is a concept that examines the positive characteristics of the individual, rather than focusing on the negativities and weaknesses of individuals. Burnout is an important mental and physical collapse caused by excessive workload, stress, extreme fatigue and management problems which threaten the business life continuously.
With this study, it is aimed to reveal the importance of positive psychological capital of the individuals who have a competitive resource against the competitors which can be renewed, developed, measured and managed and the relationship between the positive psychological capital components and the burnout levels of the white clans working in the enterprises. For the purpose of this study, 331 white-collar employees working in a public enterprise operating in Ankara, Balıkesir, Eskişehir, Bursa and Kütahya provinces were collected with easy sampling method. Survey results were analyzed and interpreted with structural equation model. As a result of the analyzes, a weak negative relationship was found between psychological capital and burnout.
