Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable achievement test on the subject of "Biodiversity" for secondary school students. Descriptive method was preferred in the research. For the reliability and item analysis of the draft biodiversity achievement test consisting of 25 questions in total, 221 students studying in the 6th grade of a public school in Ankara participated in the study. After the test analyzes, item difficulty and discrimination analyzes were done, 10 questions whose item difficulty and discrimination indices were not at the desired level were removed from the test. While the test has a Cronbach alpha value of .638, the Biodiversity achievement test consisting of 15 questions was developed as a result
