Feeling good in working life is closely related to happiness in business life, family and social life. The working individuals
generally want to feel good, to be successful and to be useful to themselves and their environment. However, job stress is an
important obstacle in this regard. Stress is the developments that generally occur due to internal or external stimuli and
negatively affect the normal life of the individual. As there are many causes of stress, factors such as exposure level and
personality traits can be determinative on the effect. The stress that employees experience depending on the developments in
business life is accepted as work stress. Each job has its own difficulty as well as the level of stress it reveals. The job stress
experienced by law enforcement units is fed from a wide range of sources and has a wide range of effects. Stress is basically a
bodily function that will be explained later in this chapter, to provide the necessary energy to the living creatures in the face of
challenging and vital events, to overcome these challenging situations and to continue their lives. However, research shows
that the chronic persistence of stress for long periods of time goes beyond the task of performing a useful function by providing
the body with the necessary energy and consumes the body's resources, starts to disrupt the normal functioning of the body and
causes various physiological disorders. In this study, explanations were made about the concept of job stress and stress
management, which negatively affects both work and private functionality of employees.
