Today, it can be seen that some performers prefer technical demonstration and perfection rather than music, emotion and
creativity. The aim of this study is to keep the original aesthetics of the works alive with the awareness of the performance
techniques that change over time, and at the same time to help the performers about how to reach interpretations that are natural,
emotional and exciting for the listener. Accordingly, the third part of C. Czerny's immense work Pianoforte-Schule (Piano -
School) Op.500, "Von dem Vortrage / On Playing with Expression " was examined. This work was first published in 1839. No
doubt the difficulty of access to the work has led to its neglect. Indeed, it was not until 1991 that Breitkopf & Hartel republished
only Volume 3 of the work, with the title “On Playing with Expression”. In the light of this part, which is very enlightening for
the performers, attention was drawn to the interpretation of some elements in Beethoven's works which are crescendo,
dynamics, accents, repetition, legato and tempo. In addition, the subject of "Urtext", which has been discussed a lot, was also
examined and it was questioned whether it was sufficient for students, instructors and performers.
