Occupational health and safety has become important with the transition to industrialization and the emergence of the concept
of the human, which takes place in every stage of our lives. While it is mandatory in dangerous and very dangerous enterprises
in our country as of 2012, it will become mandatory in 2024 in less dangerous and less than 50 companies. The aim of
Occupational health and safety aims to create a healthy and safe environment for the employees by protecting the employees
and ensuring the continuity of production. In this study, it was aimed to examine the occupational health and safety perception
levels of the employees in the hazardous class operating in the manufacturing sector and to find out which demographic features
are effective in people who have a work accident. With the study, we have seen that men and primary school graduates are in
the majority, the perception of occupational health and safety (OHS) depends on the field of study, some employees have not
received OHS training, and the situation of having a work accident has changed depending on the job they do. It has been
determined that work accidents and occupational diseases can be prevented with occupational health and safety practices, as
long as the employer gives the necessary importance.
