Death is a reality that all creatures experienced and will experience. As human beings are social creatures, it is natural fort hem
to feel sorry and sorrow on behalf of their deceased relatives or neighbours, or even citizens of their country. Nowadays, people
go and see condolence nearby, call those who are far away or send a message with other communication tools. Islam has tried
to isolate the ones, who believed in it, from the period of ignorance’s standard of judgement. It has also determined how a
person should behave during the process of disease and death. So, Islam has evaluated even the disease and death process in
the form of a lesson and a reminder for other people because death cannot be prevented and life goes when someone dies and
life continues in its natural process. In that case, the best thing to do is to take lessons from this process in the most ideal way.
In this study, the culture of advice, condolence and lament in eastern-Islamic civilization is discussed. In this study, the role
model situations of Prophet Muhammed and Hz. Ali; who was brought up right next to him, is placed in the center more, as
these two personalities are common grounds of al Muslims.
