Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the communication skills and self-confidence levels of the football referees who work
in different categories according to various variables.
Since the study is aimed at determining the opinions and perceptions of the participants on a subject, it is in the descriptive
screening model. The study population, 2018-2019 football season in Turkey in a different classification of those serving
football referees, football referees the sample consists of 206 different add those who work in Aydın. As the data collection
tool, the Personal Information Form consisting of 9 questions, and the Communication Skills Evaluation Scale consisting of
25 questions were used in the research. The findings were evaluated with SPSS 23.0 statistical package program and the level
of significance was accepted as p <0.05.
As a result of the research, it is seen that the referees who have a higher education level have higher communication skills than
the ones who have a higher education level compared to the ones who have a low education level, compared to the ones who
have a low education level, and those who speak a foreign language do not know a foreign language.
