FATHER'S ADVICE TO HIS CHILD WITH FULL OF WISDOM IN THE ARAB JAHILIYYA PERIOD -A PEDAGOGICAL ANALYSIS IN THE CONTEXT OF ISLAMIC VALUES-

Abstract

As it is known, man is a social being. In order for sociality to be realized in the ideal sense, the words and behaviors that are appropriate to human nature must be dominant. For they are the common values of mankind based on wisdom. Wise words and behaviors do not have a geography and time frame. Because wise words, the age has a dimension. It is the indispensable universal features that humanity needs in every period. These values include humility, affability, helpfulness, smiling face, generosity, hospitality, bravery, courage, loyalty and protectioness of the neighbor. Already The Prophet said that his wisdom is the lost property of the believer and that he must take it wherever he finds it. Zu’l-İsba al-Advânî known as the prehistoric period poets Abu Advân Hursân b. Muharris advice on his son Useyd, who was sitting on his bedside table, are universal values to be accepted by all. In this study, the practical advice of Zü’l-İsba al-Advânî was discussed. Their analysis is done in the light of the holy Qur’an and of the Prophet Muhammad.
