Abstract

In this study, the effects of charismatic leadership behaviours on the satisfaction of employees in hotel establishments were
investigated. 389 people working in 26 five-star hotels in Ankara constitute the sample of this research. Data were analyzed
with SPSS 23 program and 95% confidence level was used. According to the data obtained, a positive positive correlation was
found between the Charismatic Leadership score and Employee Satisfaction score. It was found that males exhibited unusual
behaviours, taking personal risks and charismatic leadership scores were higher than females. According to the educational
background, undergraduate graduates have higher vision determination sub-dimension scores than primary education
graduates. Primary school graduates have lower environmental sensitivity subscale scores than undergraduate and graduate /
doctoral graduates. The graduate/doctorate graduates had higher behaviours, personal risk-taking and charismatic leadership
subscale scores than the high school graduates. Expert etc. The sub-dimension scores of the employees exhibiting extraordinary
behaviours, such as expert assistants, workers etc. it is higher than that of the staff. Employee Satisfaction Scale scores of the
employees in the management staff are highest. There was no significant difference between age, marital status and length of
service in terms of Charismatic Leadership Scale and Employee Satisfaction Scale.
