Abstract

With the revolution of February 1917, Azerbaijan was liberated from the tsarist regime and came under the domination of Bolshevik Russia, which overthrew the governments of Prince Lvov and Kerensky. In the early times of the Revolution, Civil War, continued between tsarist supporters and Soviet supporters, and the political and economic problems forced the Bolsheviks to make some promises to the Muslims against the Tsar. These promises included freedom, giving Muslims their own identity, allowing them to live their religion freely, and in short, some political and social rights. Muslims also began to carry out their struggle for the Bolsheviks to take over the administration. The night connecting October 24 to 25, the hundreds of years old Tsarist regime was completely destroyed; the Bolshevik rule took over. On 28 May 1918, the Azerbaijani Turks, who supported the new government against the Tsar, founded the People's Republic of Azerbaijan under the leadership of Mehmet Emin Resulzade. But before long the Bolsheviks, who had shown themselves more harshly and cruelly, turned against the nations that wanted independence by reneging on their promises. On April 27, 1920, the Red Army under the control of the Soviet administration put an end to the state of the people's Republic of Azerbaijan, thus forcing Azerbaijan to recognize Soviet domination. Reasons such as oppression of the people, censorship in the printing press and the inability to express ideas clearly led some of the Azerbaijani intellectuals to engage in activities outside Azerbaijan; magazines, newspapers, books, internal organizations and the right to announce their struggle to the world. This struggle was continued mostly from Turkey without a doubt. Many names such as Mehmet Emin Resulzade, Ali Bey Hüseyinzade, Ahmet Ağaoğlu, Mirza Memmed Bala, Elmas Yildirim, Emin Abid (Gültekin) screamed loudly their articles and poems. One of the names mentioned in immigration is Kerim Yaycili whose life and creativity focused on immigration. Kerim Yaycili, in his poems, committed the catastrophes of the Soviet political regime for the general public; He also included themes of homeland, homesickness and independence. The fact that there are a few short studies on Kerim Yaycili, which is of great importance among Azerbaijani immigration poets, has led us to this study. Our work is based on the study of The Life, Poems, story and bibliography of Kerim Yaycili
