The aim of this study is to introduce the teaching material based on the Common Knowledge Construction Model (CKCM) in the teaching of the subjects of "Sound" unit in the 6th Grade Science course in the secondary school and also effect of which is to investigate to the students' academic achievement, critical thinking skills, conceptual understanding. In the 2018-2019 academic year, Study group includes 57 sixth grade students (composed of 30 control and 27 experimental group students) studying in Mehmet Akif Ersoy Secondary School in the province of Kulu in Konya. In the study, as data collection tools; It used to be sound unit achievement test, Sound Semi Unit Critical Thinking Test Sound Unit Conceptual Understanding test. Semi-experimental method was employed in the study. Study The evaluate qualitative of data, it was employed independent t-test. In the evaluate qualitative data, it was employed in content analysis and descriptive analysis. When the findings obtained at the end of this study were examined, it was seen that CKCM increased the academic achievement and critical thinking skills of the 6th grade students and also had positive conceptual understanding level of science
