Cinema is a reproduction of reality in a creative way. The cinema has undergone a great evolution since its inception, has formed its own language and has been recognized as an art branch. Cinema films communicate messages to people in many ways. Many social problems are set forth through cinema. The mass media, especially television, is one of the mass media that most affects people. It is the result of scientific research that television has inflicted people in the long run. In cinema films, it has been emphasized many times that television affects people negatively. Michael Haneke is one of the directors who featured television criticism in his films. In this study, Michael Haneke's first three films, The Seventh Continent, (1989) Benny's Videos, (1992), 71 Piece of a Chronological Chronology (1994), are examined in terms of television criticism. The method used in this study is the method of content analysis from qualitative research methods
