Abstract

The general purpose of this study is to determine whether knowledge management activities at the organizational dimension have an effect on organizational culture.
The sub-objectives of the study are to reveal the followings:
 Participants' levels of organizational knowledge management perceptions and subcomponents,
 Participants' levels of organizational culture and its sub-components,
 Where or not there is a relationship between organizational knowledge management activities and organizational culture and sub-dimensions of these two concepts
In the study, an interactive model was figured since it is intended to determine whether organizational knowledge management activities and its sub-dimensions have effect on organizational culture and its sub-dimensions. Relationships between Information acquisition, information production, information sharing, information storage-documentation and use of information which are sub-dimensions of organizational knowledge management and innovative, competitor, bureaucratic and community culture variables that are sub-components of organizational culture was handled separately.
Sample of the study comprises of 238 employees who works in private hospital operating in the health sector in Kahramanmaras. Organizational culture scale consisting of 16 items, which was developed by Ogbonna and Haris (2000) and resized by Deshpande and friends (1993), and knowledge management scale consisting of 17 items, which was created by Churchill (1979) and developed by Lee, Lee and Kang (2005) was used to collect data.
According to results obtained, it was observed that there was a significant positive correlation between statistics and organizational culture at low level of statistics. With this result, it has been reached that the positive studies that will be revealed in the knowledge management studies are influenced on the organizational culture.
In this study which are examined the impact of organizational culture on organizational knowledge management, according to the increase in the efforts of organizational information management, the organizational culture is expected to increase in the same way. Because of this reason, it can be said that knowledge management activities in organizations provide positive contributions to organizational culture.
