INVESTIGATION OF FIRST AID AWARENESS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS IN TERMS OF SOME VARIABLES

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine first aid awareness levels of Vocational School students. In this study, a questionnaire was applied to 196 students studying at Hereke Ömer İsmet Uzunyol Vocational School of Kocaeli University. The data were evaluated in SPSS 15.0.
As a result of the study, the highest average was found to be “Basic Life Support (cardiac massage and artificial respiration) and the lowest average was am I cannot define the scene.”.t was seen that first aid awareness of vocational school students was high and this level showed a statistically significant difference according to gender and first aid education variables. However, according to the variables of age, type of high school and taking first aid courses, it was concluded that there was no statistical difference.
