In the Qur'an we encounter many verses that command to think, to reason. Some of these verses suggest that we should think
about the events happening around us, not to read superficially, examine the deep meanings it contains. While we are
contemplating these verses, examining the exegesis studies done today, the claims based on scientific evidences about Qur'anic
verses and the relationship between the verses and the science, determining the right or wrong, rights and superstitions will be
directive for us.
M. Zeki Duman states that if people think and perceive the meaning of the Qur'an, it is a complete source of knowledge, with
definite proofs and clear expressions. In his works, the traditional approach, which contradicts the benign mind, should be
eliminated; on the contrary, he argued that a gate should be opened to science, contemplation and innovation. In this context,
in this study, we tried to examine M. Zeki Duman's view of scientific exegesis, the reflections of scientific exegesis in his
works and the view of IVF according to Qur'an and medicine.
